It is important to implement a plan when modifying lifestyle behaviors for the following reasons. First, it helps a person attain his/her envisioned goal and planning provides strategies that address a problem. Second, it requires a person to identify personal barriers so it will not hinder to his/her plan. Lastly, it influences advocacy of change to other people who also want to modify their lifestyle behaviors.
