A bank teller has some five-dollar bills and some twenty-dollar bills. The teller has 4 more of the twenties. The total value of the money is $305.00. Find the number of twenty-dollar bills.

I think it is 15 but I'm not sure just try it and let me know if I was right or not.

Let [tex] x [/tex] be the number of 5 dollar bills. Then the number of 20 dollar bills is [tex] x+4 [/tex]. The total amount is $305. So,

[tex] 5x+(x+4)20=305\\
25x+80=305\\
25x=225\\
x=9 [/tex]

The number of 20 dollar bills is [tex] 9+4=13 [/tex].
