Each location must be plotted where two grid lines cross. In addition, no two locations can lie on the same vertical grid line or the same horizontal grid line. A sample town map has been provided for your reference.

B. Use the Pythagorean theorem to find the distance between two of your locations.
C. Look at another student’s map and find the distance between two of the locations on that map. Post your answer to the other student’s post.

For example, from the fire station to the post office, you can use:
2^2 + 3^2 = c^2
4 + 9 = c^2
13 = c^2
c is about 3.61
