The Shady Grove Substance Abuse Prevention Program for teens works with the local school to identify a group of students who may have an increased risk of substance use based on their academic history, behavior in school, relationships with peers, and home life. After forming a group of teens for the program, each participant completes an intake survey that assesses their predisposition to drug use as well as their individual attitudes, beliefs, and practices about substance use. The program is based in a local church, where participants attend a weekly program that often includes arts and crafts, poetry creation, and games. Which levels of the social-ecological model are addressed in the Shady Grove Substance Abuse Prevention Program?
