PROJECT: FURNITURE PLACEMENT
Here are your goals for this project:

Gain skills in practical techniques of interior decoration.
Learn the basics of furniture arrangement from room to room.
Demonstrate skill in producing visual enrichment through two-dimensional and three-dimensional objects.


Complete the following activities. Present your completed assignments to your teacher for evaluation, and indicate completion.

Use magazines and furniture catalogs to select pictures of the pieces of furniture you will be arranging on the floor plan of your bedroom. It can be either the furniture you already possess or the furniture you want to replace (or pretend that you are replacing) for this assignment.

Select carefully, keeping in mind the guidelines of the elements and principles of design. Cut out the pictures of the selected furniture pieces and glue them to a piece of white 8 1/2" x 11" paper to be placed in your interior design notebook.

Select and cut out the appropriate templates that represent the furniture you have or want to have for your bedroom. Prepare an envelope or a zippered plastic sandwich bag to store your templates in when you are not using them.
