Read the following selection from the poem.
I could say grace was a woman with time on her hands, or a white buffalo escaped from
memory. But in that dingy light it was a promise of balance. We once again understood the
talk of animals, and spring was lean and hungry with the hope of children and corn.
How does the analogy help the reader to understand the nature of grace?

O by showing that grace can be found by recalling what has been lost

O by suggesting that grace is fleeting and only truly existing in memory

O by connecting grace to idleness and describing how it comes unwilled

O by describing grace as something that brings hope in spite of hard times
